NHB Black rolls again
The North Huntington Beach Black boys Under-10 soccer team
continued their winning ways with a 5-0 home victory over the West Coast
White at Estancia High in Costa Mesa.
Christian Ramirez scored three goals to pace the Black, who ran
their league-leading record to 5-0.
Ramirez scored two goals late in the first half - off assists from
both Esteban Orejel and Bobby Tornel, to open up a 3-0 lead at the break.
But it was Orejel who first put NHB on the scoreboard with a goal off an
assist from Abraham Villon, who took the opening kickoff and weaved his
way downfield.
The Villon-to-Orejel score came 15 seconds into the match.
Villon also scored NHB’s fifth goal by taking a rebound off the
leg of a West Coast defender in front of the visitor’s net.
The NHB defense limited West Coast to just six shots on goal in
the match. Goalkeeper Kody Suryan scored his third shutout in five games
(six on the season) with help from Fabian Robiatti, Ryan Lehane, Jhovany
Hernandez, and Patrick Sheffield.
NHB will put its unbeaten record on the line Sunday by hosting So
Cal United (4-0-1) in an 11:45 a.m. showdown at Estancia High.
