Women’s golf: OCC wins again
IRVINE - Jennifer Tunzi shot a three-over-par, 74, to lead Orange
Coast College women’s golf team to another Orange Empire Conference golf
win Wednesday at Oak Creek Golf Course, par 71.
OCC shot a team score of 333, 13 shots better than runner-up
Saddleback’s 346. Cypress a distant third with 374.
After eight OEC matches, the Pirates are undefeated in six, and have
two ties with Saddleback.
Tunzi’s 74 was one shot off the top score of the day, 73, which
belonged to Hye Joon Jung of Fullerton.
Jenna Quaranta shot an 85, Kathy Hille and Robin Shaft shot an 87 and
Jan Cheng shot a 90 to lead the Pirates, who had all five golfers finish
in the top 11 overall.
The next OEC matchup for the Pirates will be played at Tijeras Creek
Monday at 11 a.m.
