Girls tennis: CdM rolls past Mesa
CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar High girls tennis team used a
dominant trio of singles players en route to a 15-3 win over visiting
Costa Mesa High Thursday in Pacific Coast League action.
Leslie Damion (7-5, 6-0, 6-0), Kristen Griffith (6-1, 6-0, 6-1) and Brittany Minna (6-2, 6-1, 6-0) each swept their singles matches for the
Sea Kings.
The win improves CdM to 8-5, 5-0 in league, while Costa Mesa falls to
6-9, 2-3.

Corona del Mar 15, Costa Mesa 3 Singles: Havens (CM) lost to Damion, 5-7, lost to Griffith, 1-6, lost
to Minna, 2-6; Doan (CM) lost 0-6, 0-6, 1-6; M. Lee (CM) lost 0-6, 1-6,
0-6.
Doubles: DeMello-Huynh (CM) lost to Claster-Tenerelli, 1-6, lost to
Colgate-Shukla, 5-7, def. Warsaw-Weedsold, 6-4; J. Lee-Kim (CM) lost 0-6,
3-6, won 6-1; Yenny-Dinsdale (CM) lost 0-6, 0-6, won 6-3.
