Girls tennis: Newport dominates Aliso Niguel
ALISO VIEJO - Newport Harbor High girls tennis team took its act on
the road and easily handled host Aliso Viejo High, 18-0, Thursday in Sea
View League action.
Jenny Meyer lost only one game en route to her 6-1, 6-0, 6-0 sweep,
while Kelly Nelson came through to win, 6-3, 6-3, 7-6 for the Sailors,
ranked No. 2 in CIF-Southern Section Division I poll.
On the doubles side Audra Adams and Allison Schneider were dominant,
winning, 6-1, 6-3, 6-0, for the Sailors (12-1, 4-0).
The Sailors will continue to play on the road Tuesday, when they take
on Irvine High at 3 p.m.
