SETTING IT STRAIGHT

Costa Mesa resident Nadine Andreen’s letter to the editor (“No room for

skate park at TeWinkle,” Oct. 16) should have read, “TeWinkle Park has

reached the maxed-out limit. Leave the remaining green area for the

public to enjoy.”

Portions of Costa Mesa resident Lynn Merles’ comments (Readers Respond,

Oct. 16) were inadvertently omitted. It should have read, “There are

supposed to be 40 restaurants there and as far as I am concerned, now

there is only one -- Chimayo’s -- because they threw out Bob Burns. Why?

So we could have more fashion stores.”

In a story titled “Balboa Theater price tag increases to $3.5 million” in

the Oct. 8 issue of the Daily Pilot, the address for the fund-raising run

was incorrect. It should have read 7846 Connie Drive.
