Soccer Cheetahs rally for 4-2 win

The Soccer Cheetahs spotted the Cotton Candy Kickers two quick

goals, then rallied late with a four consecutive goals to pull out a 4-2

victory Saturday in AYSO Region 56 Girls Under-8 Division play at Hawes

School in Huntington Beach.

After the Cotton Candy Kickers scored two quick goals within the

first four minutes of the match, the Soccer Cheetahs defense, led by

Candice Raab, Rachel Vitali, Diana Lustig, Megan O’Leary, and goalkeeper

Heather Apodaca, shut down their rival the remainder of the match.

In the meantime, the Soccer Cheetah offense, behind the precise

ball handling by halfback April Timmering, pieced together consecutive

goals by Valerie Peterson, Patty Keleher, Katelyn Oppegard, and a

re-direction into the net by Rachel Pasternak to pull away.
