NMJAAF: Jr. Pee Wee Seahawks lasso Cowboys

NEWPORT BEACH - Quarterback Ryan Lance threw two touchdown passes

to wide receiver Matt Silva to lead the Newport-Mesa Junior All-American

Football Jr. Midget Seahawks to a 34-0 shutout over the Mission Viejo

Cowboys.

Tailback Marc Quarles rushed for 150 yards and one touchdown, while

Junior Rodriguez added a 45-yard touchdown runof his own for the

Seahawks.

Leading the offensive line was Bijan Ahmadi, Shaun Mohler, Nathan

Stoneman, Philip DiGiacomo, Eric Ray, Pat Hill and Brent Ogden.

The Seahawks’ defense, led by Patrick Williams’ interception recorded

another shutout, limited the Cowboys to only three first downs for the

entire game.

Tyler Ellis, Ryan Dalton, Chase Whitaker, Anthony Santos, Glenn Smith,

Nathan Packer, David Del Fante, Ben Maggard and Kevin Alison led the

defensive charge for the Seahawks.

In other NMJAAF action:

Jr. Pee Wee Seahawks 33, Tustin 6 - Running back Mike Orosco had three

touchdowns, while fellow backs John Angelo and Matt Loyd each added a

rushing TD for the Seahawks.

Quarterback Matt Hauser completed 4 of 6 passes to receivers Conner

Ferguson, P.J. Banning, David Root and David Tomkinson for the Seahawks.

On defense, Hauser and Orozco each had an interception to lead the

Seahawks’ secondary.

Both Seahawks’ lines played well, with Ryan Telles, Zack Lavengood,

Lou Truxton, Ryan Dupule, Trent Sharp and Bryce Jardine leading the

offensive line.

Tony Jones, Richie Sorenson, Scott Andrews, Cavan McCarthy, John

Gothard, Zack Sepulveda, Alex Warnock and Chaz Vickery led the defensive

barrage for the Seahawks.

Clinic-level Seahawks 6, Fountain Valley 0 - William O’Brien scored

the game’s only touchdown and his first TD of the year for the Seahawks,

who improve to 4-1-1 with the win.

In a defensive struggle for both teams, the Seahawks were led by Erik

Rask, Brandon Davis, William O’Brien, Garrett Amoroso and Robbie Lusk.

On the offensive line, Joey Jones and Andrew Lowery played solid,

while quarterback Jamie McGee played hard, despite being injured from

last week’s game.

Corona Panthers 49, Jr. Clinic Seahawks 0 - The Seahawks moved the

ball well behind the blocking of Parker Lanting, D.J. Hauser, David

Kidishium and Nick Trippi.

Solid defense was turned in by Mickey Miela, Drew Littlefair, Austin

Ford, Steve Durham, Troy Bundy, Andrew Fulcher and Haley Alder.
