Irene Yu is an eighth-grader at Fulton Middle School. She is involved in

a wide variety of school activities including ballet, jazz, gymnastics

and cheerleading. She is fluent in Chinese and has been involved in

Chinese folk dance since age 4. She has competed in Chinese language

competitions, winning several, since she was 4 years old.

Her hobbies include playing the flute and the piano. She is also a

talented artist who has won several state art competitions.

Irene is skilled in music, dance and the visual arts. She said she

inherited her art ability from her mother.

Tiffany Prugpichailers is an eighth-grader at Fulton Middle School. She

was the No. 1 Pentathlon student in Orange County and won all seven

possible medals in math, history, essay, literature, super quiz and

overall. She is also a 4.0 student and has been all her life.

She placed first and second in spelling bees since the fourth grade.

She is also involved in sports and plays volleyball, basketball and

swimming. She has won several art contests including the one during the

Red Ribbon Week. Last year she was acknowledged at Disneyland for her

creative writing. She is also a member of the Fulton yearbook staff.

She has also received numerous awards for her talents on piano and

clarinet.

Scott McCall is a senior at Edison High School. Putting his heart and

soul in everything he does, McCall serves as a great role model for

handicapped children. Never letting his Down Syndrome slow him down, the

17-year-old will try anything. Not satisfied with taking special

education classes, McCall also enrolled in regular courses in gardening

and ceramics.

The desire to succeed pushed him to remarkable heights in athletics. He

plays floor hockey, swimming, and basketball, and bowls and plays soccer

on Special Olympic teams. He can keep up with anyone riding his bicycle

or skating. Best of all, McCall has a great attitude about life.
