Timberwolves outlast Hat Trix

In a scoring showdown between the Timberwolves’ Jordan Wallace and

the Hat Trix’s Bryan Costa, it was Wallace’s three goals that spelled the

difference in a 3-2 Timberwolves victory in Smythe Division play Monday

at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Costa was a one-man scoring show for the Hat Trix as he pushed home both

of his team’s goals.

Dragons 6, Predators 2

The Dragons took a 5-0 lead through two quarters and never looked

back. Spencer Ono scored two goals to lead Dragon scoring attack that

also included goals by Cody Bertrand, Jason Moore, Brandon Prince,

Jeffrey Kurokawa, and Mark Kanow.

Ryan Ross scored once for the Predators.

Flames 4, Stick Men 1

Andrew Mastrolia scored the final three goals and Jason Gonzell

opened the scoring with a second period goal to lead the Flames; Jake

Fuller scored for the Stick Men.

Dragons 3, Volcanoes 2

Mark Kanow, Jason Moore, and Garrett Ono all scored as the Dragons

scored their second victory of the week; David Finney scored and also

assisted Bobby Sowma’s goal to lead the Volcanoes.

PEEWEE CLUB DIVISION

Burnt Biscuits 10, Ruff Riders 4

Adam Freede scored a match-high four goals, Taylor Duc added three

goals, Ryan Williams scored twice, Trevor Zantos scored once, and

Williams also picked up three assists to power the Burnt Biscuits; Scott

Willis scored twice with an assist, and Miroslav Bilanovic and Rachel

Benninger each scored once for the Ruff Riders.

Dirty Turtles 6, US Marines 4

Jason Krispel and David Kirchner each scored twice and Ryan

Morejon and Jeff Barnett each scored once to pace the Dirty Turtles; Tim

Kraus scored three goals and Ryan Kokubun scored once with an assist for

the US Marines.

The Flury 5, Crash Dummies 5 (tie)

A balanced scoring attack by The Flury included single goals by

David Arambula, William Holzer, Robbie Kleinberg, and Tamir Hussein, and

two assists by Virgil De Los Reyes, while goalie Joey McGrath recorded 31

saves; Adam McGrath scored two goals, Brad Malone and Thomas Fair each

scored once, and Trevor Kasai picked up two assists for the Crash

Dummies.
