Girls Soccer

The Beach Devils ended a recent slump Saturday by coming up with

one of their top offensive performances of the season, which netted a 5-0

victory over the Wave Runners in a girls AYSO Region 56 Under-12 Division

contest played at Robert Gisler School in Huntington Beach.

Rylee Chapman led the attack with three goals, while both Jessica

Cho and Jessica Jordan each scored once.

Midfielder Courtney Lynn paced a tenacious Beach Devils defense.

Despite never getting on track offensively, the Wave Runners were

led by Candace Mecklenburg, Siobhan Wade, Keely Miller, and Stacy Palica.

Division 3

HB Lightning 6, Pasadena 0

Jessica Abdou and Tori Heglar each scored twice and the HB

Lightning of AYSO Region 143 (Westminster/Huntington Beach) ran their

record to 5-0-1 overall by blanking Region 13 in Under-14 play.

Both Jessica Goud and Caitlin McGinnis each added a goal and both

Heglar and Goud shared goalkeeping duties to earn the shutout.

Division 4

Pasadena 1, HB Extreme 0

HB Extreme goalie Leticia Ramirez stopped a penalty kick early in

the game, but Region 13 went on to score later in the Under-12 match.
