AYSO Region 120: Tasmanian Devils edge Team USA

COSTA MESA - P.J. Errington and a Team USA miscue allowed the

Tasmanian Devils to pull out a 2-1 win in AYSO Region 120 Under-12 boys

soccer action.

Errington’s goal gave the Devils a 1-0 lead before scoring again when

the ball trickled into the net a few minutes later.

Kyle Worel scored on an assist from Andrew West for Team USA in the

third quarter.

Defensively for Team USA, Jonathan Howse and Cody Waldron led the way.

In other Region 120 Under-10 boys action:

Alleygators 1, Blastoids in Blue 0 - Scott Styles scored the game’s

only goal for the Alleygators as the defense for both teams dominated the

game.

For the Alleygators in goal, Ian Abernathy and Cody Spoulos were able

to hold off numerous Blastoids’ attempts.

Red Bombers 1, Boys in Green 1 - Francisco Moreno scored on a

cross-pass from Adam Seagondollar for the Red Bombers.

Trevor McGuff, Peter Schreyer and Dontay Lesser each had opportunities

to score stopped by the Boys in Green.

On defense, Matthew Hillberg, Josh Gonzalez, Gregory Vinson, Luis

Labrado, Anthony Arellano and Nicholas Vinson, kept the game close.

In Under-10 girls action: Shooting Lava 3, Firecrackers 1 - Lava’s Kerry Kiser, Ally Krikorian

and Juile Hubbard helped to defuse the Firecrackers with goals.

Olivia Schow scored the Firecrackers’ lone goal in the third quarter.

Leading the way for the Firecrackers were Lauren Kipp, Megan Kipp,

Ashley Stilletto and Jane Messersmith.

In Under-8 boys action:

In the Fireballs game against the Cheetahs, Kevin Kiser, Leo Brown,

Brandon Karr and Danny Borg-Sundstrom led the offensive charge ... For

the Rockets in their game with the Tigers, Matt Ciles and Andrew Roth

each scored, while Justin Crosson and Jonathan Knauser led the defense.
