Equestrian: CdM’s Farrer win two events
COSTA MESA - Sydney Farrer from Corona del Mar’s freshman
equestrian won two events at last weekend’s Interscholastic Equestrian
League show at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Farrer took the top prize in the Equitation Over Fences category as
well as the IEL Medal for CdM.
Teammate Julia Koetting finished third in the Hunt Seat Equitation and
English Pleasure categories.
The freshman team is made up of Koetting, Farrer, Elyse Avila and Anne
Schroeder.INDIVIDUAL RESULTS-Corona Del Mar:
Ann Schroeder (9th grade) - 9th in Freshman Hunt Seat Equitation; 4th
in Freshman English Pleasure; 6th in Freshman Equitation over Fences;
11th in Freshman working Hunters; 4th in Freshman IEL Medal.
Elyse Avila (9th grade) - 12th in Freshman Hunt seat Equitation; 6th
in Freshman Working Hunters; 8th in Freshman IEL Medal.
Sydney Farrer (8th grade) - 1st in Freshman Equitation over Fences;
5th in Freshman Working Hunters; 1st in Freshman IEL Medal.
Whitney Weldner - 10th in JV Hunt Seat Equitation; 3rd in JV
Equitation over Fences; 6th in JV Working Hunters; 2nd in JV IEL Medal.
Sondra Grossman - 3rd in Novice Hunters Under Saddle; 12 in Novice
English Pleasure.
Jillian Van Ness (10th grade) - 4th in Novice Hunt Seas Equitation;
6th in Novice Equitation Over Fences; 4th in Novice English Pleasure.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS-Newport Harbor:
Lindsey Dorris - 9th in JV Medal; 5th in JV Equitation Over Fences;
3rd in JV Working Hunters.
Lauren Amor (9th grade) - 6th in Western Novice Pleasure.
Nicole Schultz (11th grade) - 9th in Western Showmanship; 7th in
Western Limit Pleasure; 7th in Western Limit Horsemanship; 3rd in Western
Limit Trail.
