Although the Fountain Valley Clinic Division Black Jaguars won’t be

participating in this weekend’s postseason party, the Black Jaguars ended

the season by making a lasting impression.

Fountain Valley rolled to its third consecutive victory, beating the

Mission Viejo Cowboys, 18-0.

Not only was it their third straight win, but the Black Jaguar defense

also ended its campaign with three successive shutouts.

Nathan Feiler, Steven Bennett, Nick McIssac, Matt Empting, Daniel

Pokorski, Jacob Gale, Jose Navarro, Nick Sosa, and Shane Murray led the

way for a Fountain Valley defense that limited the Cowboys to a mere

seven yards of total offense.

Pokorski finished with an interception, and Murray and Bennett combined

for four sacks.

Offensively, Rick Rea scored on rushing touchdowns covering 11 and 55

yards, while McIssac and Murray hooked up on a 45-yard touchdown pass

play. Josh Hendy, Mike Delicce, Ian Gipson, Mike Diaz, Matt James, Buster

Gallegos, Justice Tausaga, Victor Amey, and Stefan Robb provided

protection with solid blocking.

The Jaguars, who totaled 232 yards of total offense, just missed making

the playoffs and finished the year 5-4 overall.
