In a showdown between two unbeaten teams with 6-0 records, The Rage

came up with a big defensive performance to score a 12-0 victory over the

Broncos to wrap up the C League flag football championship during

Saturday’s regular season finale at Murdy Park in Huntington Beach.

Daniel Doyle, Ben Rivera, Travis Israel, Gabe Martel, Billy Gomez, Travis

Halopoff, Justin Jones, Kris Bohanm, and Vince Rivera all played key

defensive roles in the shut out win.

Ben Rivera also began the scoring with a 70-yard punt return, and Israel

later added a 20-yard touchdown run.

Both The Rage and the Broncos have qualified for the City playoffs, which

begin Saturday.
