‘Fame’ auditions set
at South Coast Plaza
Young people who think they have the Broadway magic may audition today
for a walk-on role in “Fame -- The Musical,” which will be staged Dec. 21
to Jan. 2 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
The auditions, which will consist of singing the refrain to the tune
“Fame (I’m gonna live forever),” will begin at 11 a.m. at the Crate &
Barrel wing of South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
Casting directors are looking for a single performer age 15 to 20. The
winner will get a walk-on role for the show at 8 p.m. Dec. 23.

Pascal is ranked No. 1
for 10th year in a row
The Zagat survey of Orange County restaurants has awarded Pascal
Restaurant in Newport Beach a No. 1 ranking for the 10th year in a row.
The Bristol Street restaurant is one of only four restaurants in Southern
California to receive 28 points out of a possible 30 for food.
It is the brainchild of Pascal Olhats, who has been serving his
distinctive style of French food since 1988.
