Women’s basketball: OCC handles Cerritos

COSTA MESA - Erin Tomlinson and Leah Wilde each collected 17 points

and nine rebounds to lead the Orange Coast College women’s basketball

team to a 74-67 nonconference win over visiting Cerritos Friday.

The Pirates (2-0) used a 6-0 run early in the second half to take

control of the game for good.

Karyn Fierst added 16 points, while Sarah Middlebrooke had 10 points

and 14 rebounds for the Bucs, who next travel to Torrance to take on El

Camino Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
