Newport Beach travel agent Lore Waechter has successfully completed the

Switzerland Tourist Board’s educational program to become a specialist in

Switzerland travel.... The Newport Beach Community Services Department

has received the “Outstanding Service Award” from the Orange County

Municipal Athletic Association in recognition of its outstanding service

and dedication to sponsoring cooperative efforts with the association....

The provisional class of the Assistance League of Newport Mesa created

Thanksgiving baskets to distribute to families enrolled in the Assistance

League program. Making the colorful baskets were Courin Johnston, Barbara

Wall, Peggy Whitehead, Cathy Friis, Bobbi Walker, Babe Hughes, Melinda

Luthin, and Merry McMackin.
