Ellis: About $200 was stolen from under a driver’s doormat when a car was
parked at Beacon Bay Car Wash in the 10000 block at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday.
Mount Hutchings: A car was ransacked in the 16900 block at 9:44 a.m.
Wednesday.
Bay: Three checks were stolen and forged from a home in the 17800 block
at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday.
Mariposa: An Airborne Express driver left his keys in the ignition as he
made a delivery and when he returned, the keys were missing and a man was
standing outside the van laughing at the intersection of Butternut at
10:38 a.m. Monday.Oscar Circle: About $215 in property was stolen from an
unlocked car in the 9800 block at 8:37 p.m. Monday.
Warner Avenue: A golf bag and clubs were stolen from the back of a pickup
truck at Mile Square Golf in the 10400 block of Warner.
Warner Avenue: Blue and yellow paint was used to write words on a utility
pole in front of a building at 12:25 p.m. in the 9600 block Friday.
Newhope Street: The driver’s side window was smashed and property was
stolen from the back seat of a vehicle sometime before 11:30 a.m. Friday in the 17900 block.
Brookhurst Street: Money was taken from the safe at the Edwards Twin
Cinemas in the 16100 block Thursday. There were no signs of forced entry
or vandalism.
Talbert Avenue: A man chopping parsley at a restaurant in the 11100 block
at 7:45 a.m. Thursday stabbed a co-worker in the abdomen because the
co-worker told him to use different knives and a different technique.

Barton Drive: Three people fought in a carport in the 7800 block at 5:46
a.m. Tuesday.
Brookhurst Street: Bullets were dropped all over the driveway and street
of Arco gas station in the 21400 block at 12:01 p.m. Tuesday.
Pacific Coast Highway: A belligerent female reached over the counter at
the clerk at El Don Liquor store in the 400 block at 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Trudy Lane: A juvenile was caught smoking on campus in the 16600 block at
1:32 p.m. Tuesday.
Hamilton Avenue: A city of homeless people popped up between the Arco gas
station and the Flood Control Center in the 10100 block at 1:46 p.m.
Tuesday.
Gothard Street: Three male juveniles threw rocks at passing cars at the
intersection of Warner Avenue at 2:07 p.m. Tuesday.
Matsonia Lane: A water delivery man assaulted a woman as she tried to
leave her home in the 19700 block at 3:57 p.m. Tuesday.
Ranch Lane: An elderly male appeared disoriented because he continued to
cross the street at all four corners of the intersection at Yorktown
Avenue, going in circles, at 5:57 p.m. Tuesday.
Queens Lane: Alleged gang members harassed a woman and stole her purse in
the 17400 block at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Adams Avenue: A physical fight broke out in the 10100 block at 1:50 a.m.
Monday.
Velvet Circle: Eggs were thrown at a house and car in the 8400 block at
6:30 a.m. Monday.
Pacific Ranch: News reporters attempted to enter the complex Sunday,
seeking information in about a couple’s death in San Juan Capistrano.
Beach Boulevard: Two men were in a verbal fight in a parking lot over who
was to be next in line at the drive through of Jack in the Box in the
18400 block at 2:10 a.m. Saturday.
Beach Boulevard: Three men were fighting outside the Burger King in the
16300 block at 2:32 a.m. Saturday. One of the men was carrying a baseball
bat.
Yellowstone Drive: A bike was taken out of an open garage at 8:14 a.m. in
the 9500 block on Saturday.
Portland Ave: Someone stole a palm tree worth $150 sometime before 11:30
a.m. at the 200 block on Saturday.
Main Street: At 1:29 p.m. Saturday a man was found sleeping over the
wheel in a beige, four-door Mercedes XL in the upper level of a parking
structure at Main Street and Walnut Avenue. A pair of women’s panties was
found next to him in the vehicle.
Rutgers Circle: A safe containing $40,000 was stolen in the 6400 block
sometime before 9:39 a.m. Sunday.
Edinger Avenue: About $13,000 in cell phones and pagers was stolen from a
business between the hours of midnight and 8:15 a.m. Sunday.
Mandrell Drive: Someone flattened the tires and smashed the window of a
Nissan Maxima in the 7700 block sometime before 8:43 a.m. Sunday.
Keelson Lane: A water pipe broke causing very hot water to leak at the
17400 block on Sunday.
Cornerbrook Drive: Someone broke into a camper parked in front of a
residence in the 9800 block Sunday. Tools were stolen.
Pacific Coast Highway: Lifeguards requested assistance with a transient
female throwing bottles at passersby outside Duke’s at 2:10 p.m. in the
300 block Sunday.
Edinger Avenue: A GT BMX bike was stolen from in front of Toys R Us at
2:45 p.m. Sunday.
Queens Lane: Someone took a car out for a joy ride, caused damage to it
and then returned it in the 17400 block sometime Saturday night.
Frankfort Avenue: People who were working in the yard of a home in the
500 block at 11:40 a.m. Sunday asked to come inside the home. When they
were refused, they threatened to come back and do harm.
Yorktown Avenue: A skateboarder fell at 1:55 p.m. Sunday near the corner
of Yorktown Avenue and Beach Boulevard. Medical aid was requested.
Drake Lane: Someone tried to steal a generator at 1:10 p.m. Sunday.
Stark Avenue: A man in a silver Nissan Sentra was trying to get children
to come to his vehicle across from Union Bank in the 7900 block at 3:10
p.m. Sunday.
Adams Street: A man was jumping into traffic to accept money from people
in vehicles, causing traffic to back up at Adams and Brookhurst streets
at 3:45 Sunday.
Main Street: A tree was down in the Civic Center driveway at 5:46 p.m.
Sunday at City Hall.
Indianapolis Avenue: A street sign was hanging from a light, about to
fall off at 5:08 p.m. at the corner of Indianapolis Avenue and Magnolia
Street Sunday.
Magnolia Street: An office window was broken at Edison High School at
6:00 p.m. Sunday. No one was inside.
Pacific Coast Highway: A car caught on fire near the intersection of PCH
and 25th Street at 9:06 p.m. Sunday.
