Jets continue to soar

Ashleigh Wood’s two goals led a balanced Jets scoring attack and

paved the way in a 7-0 Campbell Division victory over the Charmanders in

weekend action at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Brett Morinaka, Ryan Gallegos, Daniel Ane, Colin Bill, and Kyle Merrick

also got into the scoring act as the Jets (7-0-1) took a 1 1/2 game lead

in the standings.

Goalie Jamie Schlegel, with 12 saves, was credited with the shutout.

Hurricanes 2, Stars 1

Kevin Caskey scored a pair of unassisted goals as the Hurricanes (5-2-1)

moved a step closer to catching the second-place Stars (6-2-1) in the

division standings; Connor Burns scored off a Sam Slosman assist to

account for the Stars offense.

Bulldogs 2, Team Karaoke 1

Jacob Schnautz and Scott Cassidy each scored - the later off a Zach

Gillespie assist, as the Bulldogs (3-3-2) held off Team Karaoke; Rebecca

Koppel scored an unassisted goal and goalie Brandon Prince had 15 saves

to lead Team Karaoke, which slipped to 1-8 overall.
