WEDDING

St. John Vianney Chapel on Balboa Island was the setting for the May 1

wedding of Laurie Beth Hermann and Phillip Lawrence La Plante, both of

Newport Beach.

The bride is the daughter of Donna Hermann of Newport Beach and Leroy

Hermann of Marina Del Rey. Her matron of honor was Diane Chiapuzio, her

sister. Her bridesmaid was Lisa Corbett, and her junior bridesmaid was

Jillian Chiapuzio, her niece. All three are Newport Beach residents.

The bridegroom is the son of Miriam La Plante and the late William John

La Plante of Balboa Island. His best man was David La Montagne of Newport

Beach. Groomsmen were Bill and Randy La Plante, both brothers and both of

Newport Beach. The ushers were Brad, Brett, and Bart Hermann, all three

are brothers to the bride and live in Montana.

The bride and groom arrived by boat to their reception, which was held at

Bistro 201 in Newport Beach and was attended by 100 guests.

The couple honeymooned for three weeks in France and Greece and will live

in their new home in Newport Beach. She is the owner of a plant service,

and he is a real estate developer and investor.
