Ludwicki stars for Privateers

Former Fountain Valley High basketball standout Jennifer Ludwicki,

who earned All-Sunset League honors in her three-year varsity career with

the Barons, scored 13 points Wednesday to lead the University of New

Orleans to a 90-75 victory over Wofford College at Lakefront Arena in New

Orleans.

The 5-foot-11 forward, who transferred to UNO from Orange Coast College,

also finished with five rebounds and had two assists in 29 minutes.

Ludwicki has started all four of the Privateers’ games this season,

averages 12.8 points per game, leads the team in rebounds with 5.8 per

game, and is second in assists with 2.3 per outing.

Ludwicki scored a game-high 19 points Saturday in a 105-65 home victory

against Western Carolina.

New Orleans, which currently is on a three-game win streak, is now 3-1

overall.

During the streak, Ludwicki has averaged 15.7 points per game after being

held to just four in a season opening defeat to Mississippi State.

The Privateers visit Southern Mississippi tonight in a 6 p.m. (CST)

tip-off.
