The Orange County Festival of Trees at South Coast Plaza, through

Monday. The festival offers a children’s activity stage, Borders’

“Holiday Storytime,” featuring sing-alongs, storytelling and arts and

crafts projects for kids, and many other activities. As part of the

holiday season, Orange County residents and businesses are also

encouraged to help at-risk families and youths. During the festival,

people can bring canned or nonperishable food to the Food Bank booth for

distribution by Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County; bring an

unwrapped gift for children or a stuffed animal for the Zoo Tree and

leave it at the Toys for Tots booth; or, stop by the Salvation Army booth

and sign up to “Adopt A Family” for the holidays.

Orange Coast College’s 14th annual Christmas show for kids will open a

two weekend run. The show is being staged this holiday season by OCC’s

Theatre Department. Titled “An Old-Fashioned Christmas Show and Ice Cream

Social,” the yuletide treat runs today through Sunday and Dec. 9 to 12 in

OCC’s Drama Lab Theatre. Curtain is set for 7 p.m. Thursday through

Saturday nights, and 2 p.m. Sundays. The Christmas show also will include

carols performed by soloists, caroling that the audience can join in on,

vaudeville acts and OCC’s annual Children’s Joke Contest. All in

attendance will be treated to ice cream and Christmas cookies. There also

will be a visit by Santa. Advance tickets, priced at $6 for Thursday

evening performances and Sunday matinees, and $7 for Friday and Saturday

shows, are on sale at OCC’s Ticket Office in the Community Education

Building. Tickets will be sold at the door for $8 and $9. Seating is

The Holiday Book Sale of Adult and Children’s Books will be held through

“Cyber Santa” is coming to the Irvine Spectrum Center in front of

Bertollini’s and Edwards Theatres Town. He will be there from 10 a.m. to

2 p.m.. Santa will send toy orders directly to his toy factory at the

North Pole via the Internet and the Sprint PCS Wireless Web. All Orange

County kids are invited to join Santa and “click” on their favorite toy

wishes. And kids can take a free Polaroid or digital photo with Santa and

e-mail it straight to their families and friends. Children and families

are also invited to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for

Tots.

A reptile show & sale will be held in Building No. 12, Orange County Fair

“The Comedy Show,” a production by Orange Coast College’s Touring

Company, will be staged for three performances. The Touring Company is a

part of OCC’s acclaimed Repertory Theatre Company. Orange Coast’s Rep,

featuring student-acted, student-directed and faculty-advised

productions, will celebrate its 15th season. The Touring Company’s

“Comedy Show” will include improv and original and classic skits. The

production runs today, Sunday and Dec. 12. Today’s performance is

scheduled for 10 a.m., and is free to the public. Sunday performances are

scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door. The

show is also available and suitable to tour to charitable and private

The St. Bonaventure Music Ministry will present its annual Christmas

concert at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature a wide variety of

Christmas choral music and carol singing, presented by the parish’s five

The Huntington Beach Main Street Library will present an exhibit of

The California Coastal Commission is holding its amateur photography

The Orange County Museum of Art will feature two exhibits through January

installation, allAROUNDyou, creates environmental sound systems that

dematerialize perceptual events and actively involves the viewer. Also

now through Jan. 23, the museum will exhibit “In the City: Urban Views,”

by many artists including Edward Hopper, which document a changing urban
