AYSO Region 120: Oreos creep by Killer Mermaids

COSTA MESA - Cory Ehrhorn scored the game’s lone goal in the second

sudden-death overtime to give the Oreos a 1-0 win over the Killer

Mermaids in the AYSO Region 120 Division 5 girls soccer championship

game.

Stacey McDaniels helped control the offense for the Oreos with solid

long passes to the Mermaids’ side of the field.

For the Mermaids, Lucey Lozano, Carina Merida and Sara Braunsdorf each

played well on defense, stopping the big shooters for the Oreos.

Other solid performances for the Mermaids came from Ashlee Delzingaro,

Teresa Fox, Emily Larned, Diana Manriquez, Sara Martin, Ayla Medina,

Ashleigh Mestas, Abby Scheafer and Jordyn Simmons.
