COSTA MESA - Vanguard University’s women’s basketball team had no

trouble extending its home winning streak to 41 games, dismantling

Occidental 82-29 in a nonconference game.

Marisa Emde led Vanguard with 20 points. Rachel Fikse had 14 points and

six rebounds, and Robbin Dittenbir got 10 points and 10 rebounds for the

Lions. Becki Huddle, with 13, and Laura Lee, with 10, also scored in

double digits for Vanguard (6-1).
