Baseball: NHBA to host winter camps

NEWPORT BEACH - The Newport Harbor Baseball Association will

conduct two, four-day winter baseball camps Dec. 20-23 and Dec. 27-30 at

Kaiser Elementary.

Both camps will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and lunch will be provided

for each day.

Newport Harbor High baseball coach Jim Kiefer and his staff will run

the first camp session, while Orange Coast College coach John Altobelli

and his staff will run the second camp session. There will also be Major

League Baseball “suprise guests at each camp.”

Registration is $130 per week before Dec. 5, $140 per week before the

first day of camp and $150 per week on the first day of camp. Extra

family members or youngsters attending both camps are $115 per week.

Youngsters ages 7-14 with or without experience is allowed to attend.
