CdM beats Long Beach Poly, 7-3.

CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar High’s girls water polo team

improved to 2-0 with a 7-2 win over visiting Long Beach Poly on Saturday

in a nonleague game.

The Sea Kings already equaled their entire win total from last year.

Freshman Danielle Carlson, who had seven steals, scored the first goal

for CdM. The Sea Kings took the lead in the second, with two of three

goals from Christina Hewko and one from Malia Tarayao. Another goal from

Hewko and two from Haley Hapeman sealed the win for CdM.
