Newport Harbor falls in first round

IRVINE - Newport Harbor High’s girls basketball team lost

decisively in the first round of the University High Tournament, 72-16,

to Vista on Saturday.

Vista outscored the Sailors (1-2) 32-6 in the first quarter and 54-8 at

halftime. Lindsay Moore, with six points, led Newport Harbor, who will

next face San Bernardino in the consolation bracket tonight, at 8 p.m.
