Dirty Turtles keep streak alive

The Dirty Turtles remained one of the frontrunners for the Peewee

Club Division title Wednesday by beating the Ruff Riders, 8-3, at Coast 2

Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

The Dirty Turtles used a balanced attack to remain in a first-place tie

with the U.S. Marines.

Both teams are 7-1-1 overall.

In the victory, three players - Ryan Morejon, Jason Krispel, and David

Cruz - each scored two goals, with Morejon and Krispel recording three

and two assists, respectively.

David Cirilo scored one goal with an assist, Patrick Tyson scored one

goal, and David Kirchner added an assist to close out the scoring for the

Dirty Turtles, who won their third consecutive match.

Kris Ehret and Stephen Sandberg each scored once with an assist, Greg

Pearce scored a goal, and Justin Bohn had an assist for the Ruff Riders,

who lost their eighth match in a row.

U.S. Marines 7, The Fury 6

Jared Gibo topped all scorers with four goals and three assists, Derrick

Burnett scored once with a pair of assists, Bryan Sakaguchi scored one

goal with an assist, and Ryan Agius also scored to lead the U.S. Marines

(7-1-1), who remained in a first-place tie with the Dirty Turtles.

Gibo leads the division in goals scored (23) and assists (21).

David Arambula’s three goals and two assists paced The Fury (3-5-1), who

also received a goal and two assists from William Holzer, one goal each

from Virgil De Los Reyes and Derek Eichert, and an assist from Tamir

Hussein.

Crash Dummies 6, Burnt Biscuits 1

Brandon Mancia scored three goals and had an assist, Scott Shin matched

two goals with two assist, Brad Malone scored once, and Adam McGrath, the

team leader in both scoring and assists, assisted four scores to power

the Crash Dummies (4-2-3), who bounced back from their first loss of the

season.

Ryan Kim scored off a Trevor Zantos assist for the Burnt Biscuits

(2-6-1).
