Girls soccer: Eagles advance to consolation finals
ANAHEIM - With two wins on Saturday, Estancia High’s girls soccer
reached the consolation finals of the Magnolia High Varsity Soccer
Tournament, where the Eagles will take on Moorpark at 3 p.m.
In Saturday’s first game, the Eagles knocked off Bolsa Grande, 3-1.
Goals were scored by Maria Sanchez, Elicet Gonzalez and Becca Silva,
while goalie Helen Flores had three saves.
In the consolation semifinals against Orange Lutheran, after a 1-1 tie
in regulation, the Eagles won on penalty kicks, 4-2.
Silva scored the lone regulation goal for Estancia (3-3), while Flores
stopped the first Orange Lutheran shooters during the penalty kicks.
