semifinals. Koo Kim almost gets a quadruple double for Costa Mesa, with

21 points, 13 rebounds, eight steals and seven assists. Corri Lurmann

scores 15 for the Mustangs.

Lindsay Warmington pours in 30 points as Corona del Mar’s girls

basketball team beats El Toro, 57-51.

Estancia’s girls basketball team defeats Orangewood by the ridiculous

score of 69-8. Karla Dominguez leads the Eagles with 14 points, and her

backup, Vivi Rodriguez, scores 12.

Estancia’s boys basketball team defeats Long Beach Jordan, 59-46, to move

to the championship game of the Irvine World News Classic. Greg Foster

scores 19 for Estancia.

finals of the Irvine Tournament. Jerome Bouchat’s goal gives the Sailors

Oaks, 74-20. Melody Earle gets 18 points, six steals and five assists for

the Eagles.

Newport Christian defeats Leffingwell, 49-28. Wendie Bahnsen scores 14

points and Jennifer Rebal pulls down 11 rebounds for the victors.

Costa Mesa’s wrestling team is the runner-up in the Downey Tournament.

Diego Barrenecho, Minh Pham, Peter Delay, John Valencia, Tim Harris,

Jason Grimes and Jerry Roeden win championships in the tournament for the

Mustangs.
