Sabres continue winning ways

The Sabres continued their dominate in Norris Division play

Wednesday by beating the Vipers, 6-3, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey

Center in Huntington Beach.

Tyler McAfee scored two goals and Brittany Downer scored once to go along

with two assists as the Sabres lead the East Division standings at 9-0-1

overall.

Kyle Carter scored one goal with an assist, CJ Coshow scored once, and

Jeff Fuzzard had an assist for the winners.

Colten Daigneault scored twice, Travis Sutton scored once, and Spencer

Koon, Nathan Sutton, and Lance Unrau all had an assist to lead the Vipers

(3-7-0).

In other games:

Slickshoes 5, Stars 3

Joseph Burkhardt paced the West Division-leading Slickshoes (8-0-2) with

three goals and two assists, J. Daniel Pulfer scored two goals, and David

Loy, Jared Musacchio, and Jeremy Roberts all had an assist.

Andrew Jackson, Nicholas Capriccio, and Steven Koressel each scored, with

Jackson also getting an assist, to lead the Stars (1-4-5).

Dragon Ball Z 3, Hornets 1

Travis Benson scored two goals, Ali Plummer scored once, and Garrett

Gardinier picked up an assist for the Dragon Ball Z (5-3-2), who won

their fourth consecutive match; Michael Inouye scored for the Hornets

(3-4-3).

Red Wings 8, Biting Dogs 4

Taylor Urieta rolled up four goals with an assist, Garrett Ono scored

three goals with a pair of assists, Spenser Ono scored once and

Christopher Loy had an assist to carry the Red Wings (3-7), who snapped a

two-game losing streak.

Kevin Cant scored all three goals and Joshua Gane assisted two of those

scores for the Biting Dogs, who lost their fourth straight outing in

falling to 1-8-1.
