AYSO Region 97: Division 3 all-stars selected

NEWPORT BEACH - The Newport Beach AYSO Region 97 has selected 14

players for its boys Division 3 (under 14) all-star team.

The selection includes attackers Eduardo Garcia (Ameba), Patrick Riley

(The Slime), Garret Guiney (Red Team) and Patrick Keehan (Red Team);

midfielders Detleff Moeller (Red Team), Ian Jennings (The Slime), Scott

Sankey (Mod Squad), Brenden Zimmer (Ameba) and Brandon Sowers (Ameba);

defenders David Riley (Slime), Max Petty (Ameba), Dave Motschenbacher

(med Squad) and Edik Passmore (Mod Squad) and goalie Kaiona Dutro

(Ameba).

Ameba coach Jim Noonan was named the coach of the all-stars.

The team will participate in all-star matchups against teams from

Irvine, Tustin, Corona del Mar and Costa Mesa and will also enter the

Costa Mesa Classic Tournament this New Year’s weekend.
