Jim Ferryman, a longtime Costa Mesa resident, has worn many hats over the

years. Some know him for his work organizing the Lion’s Club Fish Fry

Parade; some know him as a former president of the Costa Mesa Chamber of

Commerce; others are familiar with him because he is a member of the

Newport-Mesa Unified School District board.

The Costa Mesa High and San Jose State graduate also worked in banking

and real estate in Costa Mesa for more than 30 years and has been an

active contributor to many civic organizations.

In addition to his work with the Lion’s Club, Ferryman has worked with

the Harbor Area Girls Club, the Mesa Del Mar Homeowner’s Assn. and the

Chamber of Commerce. Ferryman was Costa Mesa’s Man of the Year in 1992.

* MILLENNIUM MOMENT celebrates the people who have made a

majorcontribution to the Newport-Mesa community during this century.
