Men’s basketball: OCC pulls out another overtime win

SAN DIEGO - Dave Elliott scored seven of his 18 points in overtime

to lead Orange Coast College to an 81-72 win over host Southwestern in

nonconference men’s basketball action.

OCC trailed by as many as 14 during the game, but still managed to send

the game into overtime. From there the Bucs (8-3) scored the first eight

points in the extra frame and never looked back.

David Castleton had 17 points, while Duc Nguyen chipped in with 13 and

Jeff Beeler had 10 for the Bucs, who travel to Rio Hondo College for a

nonconference matchup Tuesday at 3 p.m.
