Hurricanes blow past Wing Nuts, 6-0

Austin Shannon and Jake Robinson each netted three goals and the

Hurricanes won an Adams Division title in the process as they blew past

the Wing Nuts, 6-0, in a Saturday showdown at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey

Center in Huntington Beach.

The Hurricanes took command of the match by scoring four goals in the

first quarter, with Shannon accounting for two of those goals.

The victory gave the Hurricanes sole possession of first place with a

final record of 6-4-1, a half-game ahead of the Wing Nuts, who closed the

season at 5-4-2.

In other Adams Division games:

Termites 3, Killer Bees 1

John Goldsby scored twice and Jeffrey Ivora added another goal as the

Termites (4-7) ended the season on a winning note.

Justin Pederson scored an unassisted goal for the Killer Bees, who closed

their schedule with a 5-5-1 mark.
