Girls basketball: Eagles fizzle, 47-37

HUNTINGTON BEACH - The Estancia High girls basketball team hit the

wall in the third quarter and dropped a 47-37 decision to Castro Valley

in the quarterfinals of the Marina Tournament Tuesday.

Trailing, 23-20, at halftime, the Eagles (8-4) were outscored, 10-2, in

the third quarter and never rocovered.

Senior Lauren Cassity had 14 points for Estancia, which meets Pacifica

today at 3 p.m. in a fifth-place semifinal.
