Newport falls to Dominguez, 40-26

COSTA MESA - Newport Harbor High’s girls basketball team lost to

Dominguez, 40-26, in the consolation semifinal of the Costa Mesa

Tournament on Wednesday.

Off the bench, Lauren Gallardo had the team high with eight points,

including Newport’s lone three-pointer. The Sailors (3-11) continue play today in the tournament against Whitney at noon.
