Girls water polo: CdM wins PCL opener

LAGUNA BEACH - Danielle Carlson and Christina Hewko each scored

three goals for Corona del Mar in Wednesday’s 10-2 win over Laguna Beach

in both team’s Pacific Coast League opener.

The Sea Kings fell behind 2-0 in the first quarter but took control

with 10 unanswered goals.

Next up for the Sea Kings (6-5, 1-0) is the Newport Harbor/Corona del

Mar Girls Water Polo Tournament, with the Sea Kings taking on University

today at 3:50 p.m.
