AYSO Area Q: CdM sweeps weekend play

CORONA DEL MAR - The Corona del Mar Blue Bombers from AYSO Area Q,

Division 5, knocked off the Costa Mesa Alleygators, 1-0 and the Tustin

Red Bulldogs, 4-2, in weekend action.

In the win over Costa Mesa, the Blue Bombers’ Mitchell Williams scored

the game’s lone goal, with assists from Nick Freeman and Parker Rhodes.

Solid offensive pressure was provided by Peter Yould, Camden

Higginson, Reed Williams and David Schwartz, while Evan Lividas, Andrew

Halladay, Bret Weinberger and Russell Goldberg led the defense.

Goalie Parker Rhodes maintained the shutout with numerous saves.

In game two against Tustin, Yould, Freeman, Mitchell Williams and Reid

Williams each scored for Corona del Mar.
