Top wrestlers to meet at Fountain Valley

Fountain Valley High will play host both Friday and Saturday to one

of the state’s premier prep wrestling tournaments, Five Counties.

Sixty-four schools will compete over the two-day period. In addition to

host Fountain Valley and Edison, other county teams in the tournament

include top-rated Calvary Chapel, Irvine, Dana Hills, Villa Park, and

Santa Ana.

“It’s one of the best tournaments around and it features some outstanding

teams, as well as some outstanding individual wrestlers,” Edison Coach

Dan Rawlins said.

Competition begins Friday at 3 p.m. and ends with the division

championship finals, which are scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m.
