AYSO Region 97: Ameba reaches Area Q title game

TUSTIN - Eddie Zepeda scored two goals to lead the Newport Beach

Ameba in to the Area Q Six-City Boys U-14 championship game following

Saturday’s 4-2 win over Corona del Mar in AYSO Region 97 action.

Eduardo Garcia and Brenden Zimmer also scored for the Ameba, winners of

15 in a row.

With the win, the Ameba will take on South Irvine Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

at Windrow School in Irvine for the Six-City Area Q Championship.

The winner of that contest will advance to the AYSO Southern California

State Sectional Championships at UCI in March.
