Eagles defeat Uni, 3-1

IRVINE - Armando Ortiz, Cesar Terrones and Martin Sanchez scored

goals for Estancia High as the visiting Eagles defeated University, 3-1,

in a Pacific Coast League boys soccer game Friday.

Ortiz scored in the 25th minute to tie the game, 1-1, then Terrones gave Estancia (11-1-1, 4-0 in PCL) a 2-1 halftime lead. Sanchez provided

a cushion with a second-half goal.

Chris Baez scored in the 22nd minute to give Uni an early 1-0 edge.

Uni fell to 10-5-4, 2-1-1.

Hilario Arriaga recorded three goalie saves for Estancia, which hosts

Costa Mesa Friday to begin the second half of PCL action.
