ANNIVERSARY

A. Loraine Grubbs and Sterling H. Wolfe celebrated their 60th wedding

anniversary Dec. 29 with family at Loew’s Coronado.

They were married Dec. 29, 1939 at The Little Church of Hollywood and

honeymooned at The Mission Inn in Riverside. Together they raised three

sons -- Sterling Jr. of Temecula, Jonathan of Newport Beach and Charles

of Costa Mesa. They have four grandchildren -- Laura, Jennifer, Jonathan

and Michael.

Before moving to Coronado in 1987, the couple lived in Newport Beach for

24 years.

While working, Sterling was owner of Marquart Wolfe Lumber Co.

Both are active in many endeavors, including the Rotary Club, The Garden

Club of Coronado, The Coronado Yacht Club, Coronado Shores, Elder and

Deacon of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church and past members of the

Civil Service Board of Coronado, the Balboa Bay Club and Hoag Hospital’s

Women Auxiliary.
