Sts. Simon & Jude rolls past Saints

In a matchup featuring local youth girls basketball rivals, the

Saints Simon & Jude girls 5th-6th grade squad defeated the St.

Bonaventure Saints, 33-14, at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church in

Huntington Beach.

The Rebels were tied up, 12-12 at the half, but went on to outscore the

Saints, 21-2, in the second half.

Sarah Schmidt pulled down nine rebounds and had five points and three

steals, Michelle Trivisonno scored 14 points and had four assists,

Stephanie King added six points, and both Lauren Souto and Rachael Lee

contributed four points each.

Lindsay Schultz’s 10 points paced St. Bonaventure.
