Men’s basketball: OCC drops sixth straight

RIVERSIDE - Despite another solid game from David Castleton, Orange

Coast College men’s basketball lost to Riverside, 84-79, Wednesday night,

in Orange Empire Conference action.

Dave Elliott chipped in with 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Pirates

(12-10, 1-6 in conference), losers of six straight.

Brian Collins led the Tigers (19-7, 6-1) with 25 points, while Matt Noon

contributed with 12.

Of Castleton’s 35 points, 15 of those points came from five

three-pointers.

OCC led the Tigers, 43-40, at halftime, but could not hold on to the

lead.

The Pirates will resume action Friday night at 7:30 when they travel to

rival Golden West.
