the conflict between the library’s board of trustees and its foundation?”

You see the headlines in the paper but you don’t always read the entire

story. If the foundation has a charter then the decisions should be based

on those directives and goals.

This library has really progressed in the last six years. It’s a

wonderful library. It would be sad to see anything happen that would be a

detriment to the library. It’s always about money.

I think the board of trustees and foundation members should research how

other libraries deal with similar issues. I would think that the two

groups should be able to work together.

I am not sure what precipitated the sudden breach between the two

organizations, however, it appears that there might be a personality

conflict below the surface ... something that is not being publicly

discussed.
