Free tax assistance will be available at the Fountain Valley Branch

Library from 5 to 8 p.m. Mondays through April 10. The library will be

closed Feb. 21 in observance of Washington’s birthday. Volunteers will be

in the library’s community room to answer questions and provide help

filling out state and federal basic tax forms. This special service is

provided for individuals who can’t afford professional tax assistance,

individuals with disabilities, limited English language skills, the

data. Volunteers are needed to assist with two bird-counting tasks: a

twice-a-month bird count at low tide in the Outer Bay of Bolsa Chica by

the Warner Avenue Bridge, and a twice-a-month walk of the beach to

monitor the Snowy Plovers on the beaches in Sunset Beach and Surfside
