Oilers turn down the Heat
The West Huntington Beach Oilers opened Sunday’s game with a 9-1
run, then closed the contest by outscoring the Heat, 20-13, and went on
to claim a 44-35 victory in National Junior Basketball action at Ocean
View High.
In a game which saw 13 of the 16 players on both teams break into the
scoring column, Trevor Schuesler and Jeff Holliday combined for 22
points, which included hitting 10 of 12 from the foul line, as the Oilers
improved to 7-1.
Josh Bevedere scored 13 points and Tyler Mitchell chipped in eight more
to lead the Heat.

Justin Chambers poured in 16 points and Brett Sterbens contributed eight
points as the Bruins ran their record to 7-1.
