Girls water polo: Newport hammers Aliso Niguel, 15-1

ALISO VIEJO - Newport Harbor High’s girls water polo team crushed

Sea View League host Aliso Niguel, 15-1, Wednesday.

The Sailors, ranked No. 8 in CIF Southern Section Division I concludes

their league season 3-1, and 19-7 overall. They move on to the CIF

playoffs as a No. 2 seed.

Katherine Belden and Jenna Murphy led Newport with three goals each. Ten

different Sailors scored, with Belden, Murphy and Heather Tangen the only

Newport player with more than one goals.
