Club soccer: OCU Rush wins three in State Cup

NEWPORT BEACH - the Orange Coast United, a girls under 13 club

soccer team won its first three games of the 72-team State Cup last

weekend by the scores of 3-1, 2-0 and 1-0.

In their first game against Moorpark Express, Tanisha Senaratne scored

two goals, while Michelle Queyrel added a goal and an assist.

Diane Von Der Ahe also had an assist, while goalkeeper Rachel Waters had

12 saves for the Rush.

In game two against Beach Soccer, Von Der Ahe scored both goals, with

assists coming from Senaratne, Queyrel and Jessica Potter.

Solid defense was turned in by Mia Ito, Aurora Leport and Ahlia Kattan.

In game three, Queyrel scored the Rush’s lone goal, while Von Der Ahe

assisted. Waters had seven saves.
